Serdar Şenay

I was born and raised in Istanbul, as a half Thesselonikan half Tatar son of an immigrant family. My nomadic lifestyle was deeply rooted in my DNA, so I left Istanbul to study and pursue a new life in London, as I got to 18. I’ve studied computer science and found a job to remain there for the next 18 years of my journey. I’ve become a technical founder and a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) with over 18 years of experience in product and engineering. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with well-known companies like GSK, Nokia, and Canon, as well as diving into the world of startups in various co-founder, CTO, and CEO roles across different sectors. One of the highlights of my journey was bootstrapping bitcompare.net with a co-founder. Starting from scratch, we were fortunate to grow it into a profitable business generating 7-figure annual revenues. I’ve moved to Lisbon, Portugal at the end of 2023 to be in a warmer and easier place to live. I’m living there ever since and enjoying life, while working remotely as a CTO.
